Description

Celadon, one of Indiana’s fastest growing companies, is looking for a Coordinator in its Dedicated division located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Ideal candidates are excellent communicators, analytical, solution-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work quickly and efficiently. Coordinators will assist in growing revenue, utilization, and efficiencies of the Dedicated department by managing all aspects of customer accounts as assigned by the managers.Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport with customer accounts and drivers
  • Build weekly orders
  • Work with current on-site operations and off-site staff to meet service needs
  • Price freight for customer back hauls
  • Take part in continuous training on system capabilities
  • Regularly take webinars and come to Celadon Indianapolis Terminal for on-site training
  • Ensure the dedicated fleet obtains per truck revenue goals
  • Manage drivers by remaining in constant contact by way of answering phone calls, messages, and emails
  • Create disciplinary action plans as needed for any driver non-conformance
  • Follow all shift procedures per the department manual
  • Utilize software and management tools to effectively track loads throughout the system
  • Continuously provide feedback and suggestions on ways to improve processes within operations
  • Preemptively communicate any delays or service issues to the customer service representatives in order to maintain customer relationships
  • Work with drivers and customers to strive to maintain a 99% on time pickup and delivery
  • Review delivery metrics, invoices, and other issues
  • Customer Service functions include – Delivery issues, order tracking, capacity issues, and appointment setting.

Job Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in business, operations, and/or logistics is strongly preferred or 2 year experience in transportation or logistics
  • AS400 experience is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a desire to grow personally and professionally
  • Strong sense of entrepreneurship with the ability to take risks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with above average computer literacy
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with little supervision if necessary
  • Eagerness to learn and be challenged in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a vested interest in company financial performance
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
