Summary/Objective The Dorm Attendant is responsible for being the main point of contact at the driver dorm window. The attendant coordinates driver’s stay, issues and receives equipment from drivers, handles permits and merchandise from store as well as requests from outside terminals.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Sales and inventory of all merchandise sold through the company store.
  • Assignment of dorm rooms to drivers.
  • Distribution of various supplies to drivers in dorm rooms.
  • Maintain neat, orderly filing system and ensure all information is filed.
  • Complete permit requests for drivers entering states that require them.
  • Help outside terminals with equipment issues.
  • Coordinate shuttle pickups and drop-offs for drivers coming to or leaving the terminal.
  • Function as main contact for dorm window during shift hours.
  • Stay in contact with outside hotels that are being used when dorm rooms are full.

  • Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasionally the attendant will walk through and address issues in dormitory area used by drivers.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. We are currently looking for 1 day shift and 1 night shift position on a 2-2-3 schedule, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. This position will work Monday and Tuesday of one week, off Wednesday and Thursday then work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.The following week the position will be off Monday and Tuesday, work Wednesday and Thursday, then be off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Required Education and Experience
