Description

  • Oversee maintenance and reconciliation of our fixed asset system.  Must have experience and familiarity with tax software systems such as Sage Fixed Asset Software (FAS)
  • Provide oversight to staff in the preparation and filing of income, franchise, property and sales/use tax returns and annual reports
  • Gather information required for tax provision and compliance work including a detailed review of the quarterly and annual tax package and make appropriate adjustments to the final books and records as needed
  • Prepare quarterly and annually income tax provision calculation under ASC 740 including the review and explanation of tax attributes to the Corporate Controller and CFO
  • Forecast all tax remittances for federal and state income, franchise, real and personal property and sales and use taxes
  • Responsible for the review and analysis of income tax provision reporting for foreign subsidiaries
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations for tax accounts
  • Oversee IRS and State Audits/Notices as necessary
  • Conduct tax research and special tax projects as needed
  • Supervise and develop tax staff personnel

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ Years Prior Experience in Public Account Tax Experience or Related Corporation
  • Some experience preparing business and partnership returns
  • Strong Accounting and Analytics Skills
  • Strong Computer Skills; Proficiency in Excel and Tax Software (Sage Fixed Asset) and Word are preferred
  • Excellent Interpersonal, oral, and written communication Skills
  • Detail Oriented and Ability to Multi-Task
